The stand is currently a work in progress and, once complete, it will take the Racecourse ground's capacity to over 18,000.
Reds supporters are once again calling for the new Kop to pay tribute to a fan who was once dubbed 'The King of the Kop'.
It is now nine years since Wrexham superfan Ian ‘Jacko’ Roberts died aged 55 years old, following a long battle with cancer.
Jacko, from Acrefair, was the main singer in the Kop for many years and later the Glyndwr University Stand.
For the past three years, since work on the new Kop was first announced, Wrexham fans have been calling for the club to pay tribute to Jacko via the new Kop.
Club chairman Rob Mac even previously confirmed that he was 'taking ideas' from fans about how to do just that.
October 6 marked nine years since Jacko's death and Wrexham fans have been taking to fan forums/social media to reiterate their desires to see him be officially remembered by the club in some capacity.
Many of the have said that Jacko was the 'voice' of the Kop and that he is still 'sorely missed' by those who knew him best.
With the new Kop edging closer to completion, and with Rob Mac aware of the fans' intentions, this request may soon become a reality.
How do you think Jacko should be honoured? Give us your thoughts in the comments.
