Leeds United might have beaten Manchester United twice in the not-too-distant past, but it will come as a surprise to some that Leeds’ last win at Elland Road against Man United was in 2002.
Leeds’ win last season against Michael Carrick’s side came at Old Trafford, as Noah Okafor scored a brace. The previous win before that was Jermaine Beckford’s iconic FA Cup moment, under Simon Grayson.
The last time Leeds beat Man United at Elland Road was 24 years ago. He isn’t well remembered among Leeds fans, but it was Harry Kewell who scored the only goal of the game, heading in an Ian Harte cross.
While it is Leeds’ last win at Elland Road against their bitter rivals, the game is largely remembered for Rio Ferdinand’s move to Old Trafford – with Leeds fans left fuming at the former West Ham man’s decision.

It's going to be a BIG one at Elland Road 🔥
Jonathan Woodgate
Woodgate will return to Elland Road for the first time since many fans believe he sold his soul, with Woodgate currently on Carrick’s coaching staff at Man United. Jason Wilcox might be in the stands, too.
