Hasaacas Ladies forward Milot Abena Pokuaa says she struggled to celebrate after scoring against former club Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the 2026/27 Champion of Champions final.

Pokuaa netted the decisive goal in the 61st minute to hand Hasaacas a 1-0 victory at the Otumfuo Astro Turf in Dichemso, Kumasi, securing revenge for their 2-1 defeat to Ampem Darkoa in the Women's Premier League final earlier this year.

The forward previously featured for Ampem Darkoa on loan during the WAFU B CAF Women's Champions League qualifiers and was one of the team's key players during that period.

Her familiarity with the club made the moment particularly significant, with Pokuaa explaining that she did not want to celebrate excessively against a side she still considers close to her.

“I wouldn't say I've caused them pain because now I would say Ampem Darkoa is part of my family. I scored, but I didn't know how to celebrate,” she said.

“I realised I've played there before, so I had to just calm down with my celebration. That was the reason why I couldn't go far.”

Pokuaa's goal proved decisive in a closely contested encounter, with Hasaacas holding on to secure the trophy and begin the new campaign with silverware.

Ampem Darkoa had an early opportunity through Tracey Twum in the fourth minute but failed to convert, while Pokuaa had threatened before the interval.

The 2026/27 Women's Premier League is scheduled to begin on the weekend of October 23, with Pokuaa hoping to build on her match-winning performance.
