Our triumph at Anfield shattered a host of records as we claimed a huge 1-0 Premier League victory over Liverpool.
Kai Havertz rounded off a flowing team move to give us an eighth Premier League win in nine matches.
Individual milestones and team records tumbled on Merseyside; here are some of the very best.
Turn the clocks back to September 2, 2012 - London had just hosted the Summer Olympics, Wings by Little Mix was top of the UK music charts and we were defeating Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield.
It took another 14 years, but we finally broke our winless run at Liverpool's home ground with the 1-0 triumph on November 1, 2026.
Outside of a Carabao Cup penalty shootout success in September 2020, our record at Anfield made for grim reading, with defeats in 2013/14, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2025/26.
The 13-match winless run equalled our longest at Anfield, which was previously broken by our famous 2-0 win in 1989 to give us the title.
The winless streak was also our joint-longest in our Premier League history, alongside a run of 13 matches without success at Old Trafford, which was also broken by Mikel Arteta's team in 2020. Indeed, Mikel also put an end to a 10-year winless streak at Stamford Bridge in 2021 and a nine-year barren run at Tottenham in 2023.
It means our current longest winless streak is at Manchester City. Could we change that on our visit to the Etihad in January 2027?
Our defensive record has been truly exceptional in recent seasons but Anfield has been a tough nut to crack.
The last time we kept a clean sheet at Anfield in the Premier League was our victory in 2012 - so shutting out Liverpool was as rare as collecting all three points.
The record is made even more impressive by the fact that we limited our hosts to no shots on target.
This was the first time on record, since 2003/04, that Liverpool failed to record a shot on target in a Premier League game at Anfield. This was their 442nd league match played at the venue since the start of the 2003/04 campaign.
While the team's achievements were being heralded, Kai Havertz also reached a personal milestone.
Having made a habit of netting in the big matches, Kai's winning goal was his 48th in the Premier League - putting him at the top of the all-time list of German goalscorers.
Kai, who joined the league in 2021 for Chelsea before coming to N5 in 2023, overtook Ilkay Gundogan, who netted 45 times for Manchester City across two stints. Brighton's Pascal Gross is the closest player currently playing in the league, with 34 goals for the Seagulls, also across two spells.
The victory at Anfield was the eighth of our first nine Premier League games, our joint-best start under Mikel Arteta.
The 2022/23 season provided the other exceptional start under Mikel, with eight wins and a defeat.
Our record of 24 points in nine games is better than the 22 we collected in our championship-winning season last time out. Only the 2004/05 and 2007/08 seasons provided better starts, hooving up 25 out of a possible 27 available.
