Ampem Darkoa Ladies launch CAF Women’s Champions League campaign with 5-1 victory

Ampem Darkoa Ladies began their 2026 CAF Women's Champions League campaign in emphatic fashion, coming from behind to beat Mali’s USFAS Bamako 5-1.

The Ghanaian champions fell behind in the 10th minute when Oumou Kone gave USFAS the lead, but they quickly recovered and took control of the match.

Angelina Yeboah levelled in the 27th minute, finishing from Nancy Amoh’s pass. Ampem Darkoa then completed the turnaround three minutes later as Patricia Agyei put them ahead in the 30th minute.

Nancy Amoh appeared to have extended the advantage in the 55th minute, but her effort was ruled out for offside.

Ampem continued to press for a third goal and were rewarded in the 78th minute when Yeboah scored again to make it 3-1.

Beline Nyarko added a fourth four minutes later, before Amoh completed the scoring in the fourth minute of stoppage time to seal a 5-1 win.

The result gives Ampem Darkoa Ladies an ideal start in Group B, as they pursue qualification for the semi-finals.
