Ghanaian-Belgian winger Francis Amuzu is the subject of a reported move from Brazilian club Gremio to Marseille in Ligue 1. The 27-year-old left winger joined Gremio from Anderlecht in February 2025 in a deal worth €1.2m and has established himself in the club’s attacking options.
Amuzu has made 25 appearances in the 2026 Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, scoring once and providing three assists. He has also featured in the Copa do Brasil, Copa Sudamericana and Campeonato Gaucho, helping Gremio win the state championship in the 2025-26 season.
The potential move would take Amuzu to France as Gremio prepare for the final months of his contract, which expires on 31 December 2026. His current market value is listed at €8m.
Born in Accra, Amuzu developed in Belgium and progressed through Anderlecht’s youth system before making the move to Brazil. He has primarily operated on the left wing for Gremio and has started 67% of the club’s league matches this season.
Marseille’s interest remains at the rumour stage, with no transfer agreement or fee reported. Amuzu remains a Gremio player under contract until the end of 2026.
