Asante Kotoko are reportedly considering a move to re-sign former left-back Imoro Ibrahim, who currently plays for Tanzanian side Singida Black Stars.

The defender has emerged as a potential target as the Porcupine Warriors look to strengthen their squad, with his contract situation at the Tanzanian club reportedly attracting interest from his former employers.

Imoro joined Kotoko in December 2019 and spent three seasons with the club, establishing himself as a key figure in their defence.

He played an important role in Kotoko’s 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title-winning campaign, making 28 league appearances and providing eight assists. His performances also earned him recognition as one of the league’s leading creative defenders.

The Ghanaian left-back made over 50 league appearances for Kotoko before leaving in August 2022 to join Sudanese giants Al-Hilal Omdurman.

His departure followed a successful spell in Kumasi, where he helped the club end an eight-year wait for the league title.

Imoro later moved to Tanzania in 2024 after leaving Al-Hilal amid the conflict in Sudan.

A potential return would offer Kotoko the opportunity to bring back a defender familiar with the club and Ghanaian football, although no official agreement has been announced.
