MNU 0-3 BOU: Players Responsible for Man United Disappointing Defeat

According to a report by Flashscore on Sunday, October 25, 2026, Manchester United suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth after delivering a below-par performance at Old Trafford.

Rayan opened the scoring in the 38th minute before Marcus Tavernier extended the visitors’ lead five minutes later. Evanilson then took advantage of another defensive lapse in the 71st minute to seal Bournemouth’s victory.

1. Matheus Cunha

Cunha failed to provide the attacking spark Manchester United needed after replacing Youri Tielemans at half-time. The Brazilian forward had a golden opportunity to reduce the deficit in the 58th minute after controlling a low pass in a promising position, but his effort went well wide of the left post.

He also committed a foul in the 56th minute, making his introduction less effective than United would have hoped as they attempted to fight their way back into the contest.

2. Youri Tielemans

Tielemans endured a difficult first half before being substituted at the interval. In the 32nd minute, he wasted a promising attacking opportunity when his pass into the penalty area was blocked by a Bournemouth defender.

The midfielder also received a yellow card in the 40th minute for a foul. His inability to make a decisive impact in midfield left United struggling to convert possession into clear goalscoring opportunities.

3. Harry Maguire

Maguire struggled to help Manchester United maintain defensive discipline during a difficult first half. The defender received a yellow card in the third minute of stoppage time after committing a foul.

United had already conceded twice by then, with Bournemouth capitalising on defensive errors to establish a commanding advantage. Although the match commentary did not directly link Maguire to either goal, his booking added to the defensive concerns surrounding the home side.

4. Leny Yoro

Yoro missed a valuable opportunity to give Manchester United some hope late in the game. In the 86th minute, an excellent cross found the defender in a promising position inside the penalty area.

He rose to meet the delivery with a header but sent the ball well over the crossbar. With United trailing by three goals, the missed opportunity highlighted the team's continued struggles in front of goal.
