According to a report by Barca Universal on Saturday October 31, 2026, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has announced his squad for Saturday's La Liga meeting with Deportivo Alaves, with teenage talents Guillem Victor and Ebrima Tunkara receiving call-ups to the first team.
The Catalan giants will be looking to return to winning ways after suffering consecutive defeats against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
However, Flick faces several selection problems because of injuries to key players, creating an opportunity for some of the club's academy prospects to feature against Alaves at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Guillem Victor is among the new faces included in the squad and has been called up to provide cover at right-back following the injury to Xavi Espart.
Barcelona are also without Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen, leaving Flick with limited options in defence.
Meanwhile, Ebrima Tunkara has been included to strengthen the attacking midfield department following Dani Olmo's injury-enforced absence.
Alex Campos, who was part of the squads for Barcelona's previous matches against PSG and Real Madrid, has also retained his place for the Alaves encounter.
Hamza Abdelkarim continues to be involved in the first-team setup and will be hoping to receive an opportunity to impress if selected.
Another academy prospect attracting attention is Brian Farinas, who could make his official first-team debut against Alaves.
The youngster is a potential option at right-back as Flick attempts to deal with the club's defensive injury problems.
Frenkie de Jong is another player who could have an important role after returning to action against Real Madrid last weekend.
The Dutch midfielder made his first appearance of the season in the Clasico and could now be considered for a starting position as Barcelona look to strengthen their midfield.
Flick will be hoping his available players can deliver a positive response against Alaves after the disappointing results against PSG and Real Madrid.
The inclusion of Victor and Tunkara also highlights the opportunities available to Barcelona's young talents as the club continues to deal with a growing list of injuries.
