According to a report by Barca Universal on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Karim Adeyemi is reportedly in contention to start when Barcelona host Alaves at Spotify Camp Nou, with manager Hansi Flick considering changes to his attacking lineup after consecutive defeats against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
The German winger has reportedly improved his chances of securing a starting position through his performances whenever he has been given playing opportunities. Despite spending much of the campaign on the bench, Adeyemi has made a notable impact in Barcelona's attack.
Flick is understood to be considering different attacking options as Barcelona prepare for a demanding run of fixtures. The meeting with Alaves will be followed by a Champions League encounter against Aston Villa on November 3, before the Catalans travel to face Atletico Madrid on November 8.
The Barcelona manager is keen to restore the attacking quality his team demonstrated earlier in the season. Adeyemi's pace, movement and ability to beat opposing defenders could offer the team an additional attacking option against Alaves.
The 24-year-old has featured in all 13 matches played by Barcelona this season, recording approximately 452 minutes across competitions. However, only four of those appearances have come from the starting lineup.
Despite his limited minutes, the winger has produced impressive statistics, scoring four goals and providing three assists. His seven direct goal contributions mean he has averaged one contribution approximately every 65 minutes.
That record places Adeyemi third among Barcelona players in terms of minutes per goal contribution. Only Lamine Yamal and Raphinha have recorded better averages.
Yamal has registered 10 goals and 10 assists, contributing directly to a goal every 55 minutes. Raphinha, meanwhile, has recorded 15 goals and three assists, averaging a direct contribution every 44 minutes.
Adeyemi's numbers demonstrate his effectiveness despite limited opportunities. His possible inclusion against Alaves could therefore provide Barcelona with additional attacking energy as Flick manages his squad ahead of three important fixtures within eight days.
