Champions League Standings Shift After Matchday Four

The UEFA Champions League standings have changed following the conclusion of the fourth round of league-phase matches, with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid maintaining their perfect starts to the competition.

According to a report by Daily Post on Thursday, November 5, 2026, PSG remain at the top of the table after collecting 12 points from their opening four matches. The defending champions strengthened their position with an emphatic 6-0 victory over Villarreal, further improving their goal difference.

Real Madrid occupy second place, also with 12 points, after securing a dramatic 3-2 win against AEK Athens. José Mourinho’s team have won all four of their matches but remain behind PSG because of the difference in their goal records.

Arsenal are currently third following their 2-1 victory over Slavia Prague. The result kept the Premier League side among the leading contenders, although they still have ground to make up on the two clubs above them.

Barcelona and Aston Villa complete the top five, placing both teams in a strong position as the league phase progresses.

At the bottom of the standings, Lens, Slavia Prague, Lille and Slovan Bratislava occupy the final four positions. Slavia’s defeat to Arsenal further affected its campaign, while the other clubs will be hoping to improve their points tally in the coming rounds.

With four matches completed, PSG and Real Madrid have emerged as the only sides in the leading positions with maximum points, while Arsenal, Barcelona and Aston Villa are among the teams pursuing them.

However, the competition remains open, with several fixtures still to be played before the league phase concludes. Clubs near the bottom will be looking to recover in their upcoming matches, while PSG and Real Madrid will aim to maintain their unbeaten records.

Goal difference could also become an important factor if the leading teams remain level on points, meaning every goal could have an impact on the final standings.
