According to a report by Evening Standard on Thursday October 29, 2026, Liverpool will face Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, while holders Manchester City have been handed a favourable tie against League One side Bradford City.
The quarter-final draw was conducted following Wednesday night's fourth-round matches, with Liverpool and Manchester City both requiring penalty shootouts to progress.
Liverpool defeated Chelsea on penalties to book their place in the last eight and will now welcome Bournemouth to Anfield.
The Reds will face a tough test against Bournemouth, who defeated them 1-0 in the Premier League at the Vitality Stadium last month.
Bournemouth will be hoping to repeat that performance and secure a place in the semi-finals as they look to continue their impressive cup campaign.
Meanwhile, Manchester City will host Bradford City at the Etihad Stadium in what appears to be one of the most favourable ties of the round.
Enzo Maresca's side overcame Brighton on penalties to advance, while Bradford reached the quarter-finals for the first time since their memorable run to the final in 2013.
The League One outfit now face a daunting challenge against the reigning holders as they attempt to produce another surprise in the competition.
Elsewhere, Fleetwood Town have been rewarded with another home tie after eliminating Premier League champions Arsenal on penalties.
They will face either Everton or Newcastle United, who are scheduled to meet in the final fourth-round fixture on Thursday.
Crystal Palace will host Sunderland in the other confirmed quarter-final after beating Fulham to progress. Sunderland secured their place in the last eight with a 3-2 victory over Brentford.
The Carabao Cup quarter-final matches are scheduled to take place during the week commencing December 14, 2026.
