According to a report by BBC Sport on Monday, October 26, 2026, Sevilla secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Osasuna in their LaLiga clash at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium.
Sevilla started the match with the intention of collecting all three points, although Osasuna made things difficult for the hosts by enjoying plenty of possession and trying to create chances in the opening stages. The visitors looked dangerous at times, but Sevilla remained organised at the back while searching for an opportunity to take the lead.
The home side eventually broke the deadlock in the 24th minute when Isaac Romero scored with a fine left-footed effort from outside the box. Youssouf Fofana provided the assist, while Felix Correia played an important role in the build-up to the goal, allowing Sevilla to take control of the contest.
Osasuna tried to respond after going behind and continued to push forward in search of an equaliser, but Sevilla defended well and prevented their opponents from finding a way through before the half-time whistle.
The visitors came out for the second half hoping to change the situation, and they enjoyed spells of possession as they attempted to put the Sevilla defence under pressure. However, the hosts remained dangerous on the counter-attack and looked capable of adding another goal whenever they moved forward.
Their efforts finally paid off in the 82nd minute when Felix Correia found the back of the net with a right-footed shot that took a deflection on its way past the goalkeeper. Youssouf Fofana provided the assist, while Ruben Vargas played a key role in the move that led to the goal.
Osasuna tried to reduce the deficit during the closing stages, but Sevilla held firm until the final whistle to secure a valuable victory.
With the three points, Sevilla climbed to sixth place in LaLiga with 17 points, while Osasuna remained 12th with 11 points.
