BOU 2-0 LEE: Match Review and English Premier League Table

According to a report by BBC SPORT on Saturday October 31, 2026, Bournemouth claimed a deserved 2-0 victory over Leeds United at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, extending their positive performance with two goals across the contest.

Evanilson opened the scoring in the 31st minute before Amine Adli sealed the three points with a late finish in stoppage time.

Leeds initially thought they had taken the lead through Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the 11th minute. The striker received an excellent pass inside the penalty area and calmly finished past Djordje Petrovic. However, Bournemouth's celebrations were spared as the referee reviewed the incident with VAR and ruled out the goal because of a handball during the build-up.

The visitors continued to threaten, with Harry Wilson coming close to breaking the deadlock shortly afterwards. His powerful effort from outside the penalty area narrowly missed the target. Bournemouth gradually grew into the contest and began creating opportunities of their own.

Marcus Tavernier tested James Trafford with a well-struck effort in the 42nd minute, but the Leeds goalkeeper reacted quickly to make an important save. Ryan Christie also threatened with a powerful attempt from distance, although his effort was blocked by the opposition defence.

Bournemouth eventually found the breakthrough in the 31st minute through Evanilson. A defensive mistake from Leeds presented the Brazilian striker with an opportunity inside the box, and he showed composure to guide the ball into the net from close range.

Leeds attempted to respond after the interval but struggled to create clear scoring opportunities. Bournemouth maintained their defensive organisation while continuing to threaten on the counterattack.

Tavernier forced another save from Trafford with a free kick in the 64th minute, while Rayan came extremely close to doubling the hosts' advantage three minutes later with a first-time effort that narrowly missed the target.

Bournemouth introduced fresh attacking options, including Eli Junior Kroupi and Amine Adli, as the game approached its conclusion. Leeds pushed forward in search of an equaliser but could not find a breakthrough.

Their hopes were finally ended in the 94th minute when Kroupi provided an excellent pass for Adli, who calmly placed his effort into the bottom-left corner to make it 2-0.

The final whistle confirmed a comfortable victory for Bournemouth, while Leeds were left disappointed after failing to convert their opportunities.
