Premier League Table After Man City Lost 2-1, Arsenal Won 2-0 and Chelsea Lost 2-0

Aston Villa defeated Manchester City 2-1 in their Premier League encounter on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Villa Park, with Nicolas Jackson scoring twice to secure all three points for the hosts.

Jackson opened the scoring in the sixth minute after receiving a precise pass from John McGinn before firing into the top-left corner. Manchester City responded by creating several opportunities, but goalkeeper Zion Suzuki made important saves to deny Rayan Cherki, Iliman Ndiaye and Abdukodir Khusanov.

City eventually equalised in the 52nd minute when Erling Haaland headed home a lofted delivery from Ndiaye. However, Villa restored their advantage eight minutes later as Jackson completed a well-worked team move with a low finish into the bottom-right corner.

Manchester City pushed for another equaliser, but Aston Villa defended their lead until the final whistle to claim an important victory.

Arsenal also recorded a 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday, October 24, with Ezri Konsa and Gabriel scoring for the Gunners.

Konsa gave Arsenal an early lead in the seventh minute after capitalising on a corner-kick opportunity. The hosts continued to create chances but were unable to extend their advantage before the break.

Everton attempted to respond in the second half, but Arsenal maintained control. Gabriel doubled the lead in the 68th minute, heading home an excellent delivery from Ben White.

Everton struggled to break through Arsenal's defence, while goalkeeper David Raya made important saves to preserve the clean sheet. The victory earned Arsenal three valuable points in their Premier League campaign.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur claimed a 2-0 victory over Chelsea in the London derby, with an own goal from Mike Penders and a late strike from Mathys Tel deciding the contest.

Tottenham took the lead in the 77th minute when Penders inadvertently headed Mateus Fernandes' corner into his own net. Chelsea's hopes of mounting a comeback suffered another setback three minutes later when Cole Palmer received a second yellow card and was sent off.

Spurs capitalised on their numerical advantage, with Tel sealing the victory in the 87th minute. The forward dribbled past Chelsea's defenders before unleashing a powerful long-range effort into the bottom-left corner.

Chelsea had opportunities to score, but Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky made crucial saves to deny Palmer, Jordan Henderson and Pedro Neto. Conor Gallagher also tested Penders late in the match, while Sandro Tonali sent the rebound over the crossbar.

Tottenham held firm during stoppage time to complete an impressive derby victory and secure three points.
