According to a report by Daily Post Nigeria, on Sunday October 18, 2026, Pedro Neto says advice from Portugal coach Jorge Jesus has helped him become more composed in front of goal.
The Chelsea forward explained that Jesus encouraged him to focus on placing the ball accurately rather than relying only on power.
Neto spoke after scoring twice in Chelsea’s 2–0 victory over Everton. Speaking to TNT Sports, he said: “This comes a little bit from the new coach of the national team, who says when you are near the area, you need to pass to the goal. I’m really happy with that.”
The forward also praised Chelsea’s overall performance and stressed the importance of keeping a clean sheet. He noted that winning away from home is never straightforward and said the team approached the match with determination.
Neto added that the result was especially significant for the players involved, including goalkeeper Emi Martínez and defender Mike, whom he said deserved recognition for their contributions.
