WSL Table After Chelsea Won 6-0

According to a report by BBC Sport on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Chelsea Women produced an impressive performance to defeat Charlton Athletic Women 6-0 in the Women’s Super League. The visitors dominated the encounter from the opening minutes, with Nathalie Björn, Melvine Malard, Ellie Carpenter, Aggie Beever-Jones and Giulia Dragoni all finding the back of the net in a convincing victory.

Chelsea wasted little time in taking control of the match, putting Charlton under pressure with their attacking movement and quick passing. Their early dominance was rewarded in the third minute when Björn rose above the Charlton defenders to head home a corner delivered by Katie McCabe.

The Blues continued to attack and doubled their advantage in the 10th minute. Malard showed good awareness inside the penalty area to react to an opportunity and send the ball into the net. Three minutes later, Carpenter made it 3-0 after finishing a well-organised attacking move from inside the box.

Chelsea’s pressure continued to cause problems for the home side, and Malard scored her second goal of the afternoon in the 19th minute. Her finish gave the visitors a comfortable four-goal advantage before the game had reached the halfway point of the first half.

Despite conceding four goals, Charlton goalkeeper Anna Koivunen made several important saves to prevent the scoreline from becoming even worse. Chelsea also suffered a setback when Lauren James picked up an injury in the 35th minute and was replaced by Erin Cuthbert.

After the break, Chelsea maintained their control and continued creating chances. Manaka Matsukubo came close to adding another goal before Beever-Jones extended the visitors’ lead in the 57th minute. The forward finished confidently from inside the penalty area after receiving an excellent pass from Keira Walsh.

Chelsea made further substitutions, bringing on Maika Hamano, Giulia Dragoni and Alyssa Thompson. The changes helped maintain their attacking energy, and Dragoni completed the scoring in the 66th minute. She calmly placed the ball into the bottom corner after receiving an assist from Thompson.

The visitors continued to threaten, with Hamano hitting the crossbar and Baltimore striking the post. However, no further goals followed as Charlton managed to limit the damage during the closing stages.

The final whistle confirmed a comfortable 6-0 victory for Chelsea, giving the team an important result in their Women’s Super League campaign. Their attacking display highlighted the quality and depth within the squad, while Charlton will have to reflect on a difficult afternoon after struggling to contain their opponents.
