Real Madrid Midfielder Arda Guler Signs New Five-year Contract, Announcement Expected Soon

According to a report by Madrid Universal on Thursday October 22, 2026, despite earlier worries about Vinicius Junior's extension, Real Madrid is gearing up for another major contract renewal as the year comes to a close in an effort to secure the futures of their key players.

Expect to see multiple contract announcements from Vinicius Junior before the end of December, despite reports that their summer renewal was a bust. The club is intent on keeping their talented players, though.

Real Madrid are reportedly getting ready to make the official announcement about Arda Guler's new contract. The midfielder has already signed a contract that guaranties his future at the Santiago Bernabeu, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

With the new agreement, the Turkish international's stay will be extended until 2031, effectively adding two more years to his previous contract. His previous deal was originally set to expire in 2029.

The agreement has supposedly already been finalized since negotiations between the two sides ended in September. As a public confirmation of their commitment to the gifted midfielder, Madrid is now anticipated to announce the renewal.

Even though he joined Real Madrid as a young, promising prospect, Guler had a tough time getting off the ground and becoming the team's first choice. But under Jose Mourinho, the new manager, he has been much more effective this season.

With Jude Bellingham and Guler combining for more offensive production for Madrid, the Portuguese coach has begun to put more faith in Guler's ability to play in attacking positions.

With 11 appearances this season, Guler has shown his increasing importance to Mourinho's team and justified that confidence with impressive performances. He has scored three goals and assisted on five more.

Given his influence and the potential he consistently displays whenever opportunities present themselves, his development has bolstered the case for rewarding him with improved long-term security.

As Madrid seek to build around promising young players who could play pivotal roles in the club's future, the renewal is a big statement about their intentions.

Now that he has a contract until 2031, Guler has to keep improving, keep making strides, and turn his incredible potential into Real Madrid superstar performances.
