According to a post by Fabrizio Romano on X on Saturday, October 17, 2026, Ayyoub Bouaddi expressed his happiness after Manchester City secured a 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town in the Premier League.
The midfielder described the contest as difficult, praising Ipswich while admitting that the visitors caused City problems during the second half.
"It was really good! I’m really happy because we won. Of course everything is good! It was a really tough game against a really good team in Ipswich. They put us in trouble in the second half. We won and we are really happy with that," Bouaddi said.
City secured all three points at the Etihad Stadium after a demanding encounter in which Ipswich fought back and threatened to spoil the hosts’ afternoon.
Erling Haaland scored twice, while Phil Foden also found the net for City. However, Ipswich remained competitive, forcing the home side to work hard to protect their advantage.
Bouaddi’s comments reflected City’s satisfaction with the result despite the difficulties they faced after the break. His assessment acknowledged Ipswich’s quality while emphasising the importance of securing the win.
The victory continued Manchester City’s Premier League campaign under manager Enzo Maresca, although the team’s performance also came with concerns after several players appeared to suffer injuries during the match.
