Siwelele won the shoot-out 4–3 after a goalless match went through extra time at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Siwelele reached the Carling Knockout quarter-finals by beating Polokwane City 4–3 on penalties after a 0–0 draw following extra time at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, 24 October.
FARPost reported that Siwelele finished the match with 10 players after Baliti was sent off during extra time. The numerical disadvantage did not prevent them from winning the shoot-out and eliminating the hosts.
Siwelele joined Golden Arrows in the last eight. Arrows beat Chippa United 4–0 in Saturday’s earlier last-16 match at King Zwelithini Stadium.
The competition continues on Sunday, 25 October. The PSL’s confirmed programme has Kruger United hosting AmaZulu at Mbombela Stadium at 15:00 SAST, followed by Sekhukhune United against Richards Bay at New Peter Mokaba Stadium at 18:00.
Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are scheduled to play on Tuesday, 27 October, all at 19:00 SAST. Chiefs face TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium, Pirates host Milford at Orlando Amstel Arena, and Sundowns meet Marumo Gallants at Loftus Versfeld.
