Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has opened up on the challenges of preparing for African Stars, with the Namibian side yet to begin their domestic league campaign.

The Buccaneers are set to take on African Stars in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, with the first leg scheduled to take place at the Botswana National Stadium in Gaborone.

Pirates head into the encounter full of confidence after securing a convincing 3-0 victory over TS Galaxy in the Betway Premiership.

However, Ouaddou revealed that the Buccaneers have started analysing their opponents and will use the available footage to gain a better understanding of the team ahead of their upcoming CAF Champions League encounter.

“It’s difficult, you know, because they didn’t start the league, but at least we’ll be able to have some footage, and we already started to study the team,” Ouaddou told the media.

Orlando Pirates vs African Stars kicks off at 15:00.
