Abdeslam Ouaddou, the head coach of the Orlando Pirates, has replied to criticism regarding his choice to leave Oswin Appollis out of the starting lineup. He has insisted that individuals should refrain from creating unnecessary controversy regarding the situation.

There has been a lot of attention paid to the choice to start the brilliant winger on the bench by Pirates supporters. Some of them have questioned why an important attacking player has not been featured from the outset of recent matches.

On the other hand, Ouaddou has defended his strategy, making it quite apparent that the picks he makes for his team are not based on personal issues or covert objectives but rather on football considerations exclusively.

In a prior explanation, the Moroccan coach mentioned that one of his primary responsibilities is to oversee the workloads of the players. He went so far as to utilise the manner in which Luis Enrique, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, handled Achraf Hakimi as an illustration for the reasons why it is sometimes necessary to give an important player a break.

In modern football, it is necessary for coaches to pay great attention to the physical demands placed on players as well as the potential for injuries, as stated by Ouaddou. It is often necessary to make difficult decisions regarding who starts and who comes on from the bench in order to maintain the health and availability of key players during an extended duration of the campaign.

Appollis has emerged as a significant attacking option for the Buccaneers, and the fact that he is of such high talent makes him a player that fans naturally want to see on the pitch. Nevertheless, it is the job of the coach to determine how and when particular players of his squad should be utilised.

Ouaddou's most recent statement gives the impression that he is dissatisfied with the efforts that have been made to transform a plain team selection decision into something that is more significant than football.

Maintaining a strong group effort is the most crucial thing for Pirates to do when they compete in a variety of different tournaments. It is important for the coach to make sure that every player is aware that the decisions regarding selection are made with the team's best interests in mind.

Appollis continues to be an essential element of the team, and his fans will be hoping that he will continue to make an impression anytime he is given the chance to participate in the game.
