Orlando Pirates' Next Five Betway Premiership Fixtures Revealed

Orlando Pirates Face Crucial Five-Match League Test as Soweto Derby Approaches

Orlando Pirates are preparing for a challenging run of Betway Premiership fixtures that could have a significant impact on their title ambitions, with the Buccaneers facing five important league matches before the end of their current schedule.

The Soweto giants have 15 points available during this period, but collecting the maximum points will require consistency, defensive discipline and clinical finishing. Their demanding fixture list begins with the highly anticipated Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

The encounter will take place at 15:00, with the match scheduled to be broadcast on SuperSport PSL. With both clubs eager to establish their dominance in one of South African football's biggest rivalries, Pirates will know that victory could provide a major boost to their confidence ahead of the demanding fixtures that follow.

Derby matches are notoriously difficult to predict, regardless of the teams' recent form or positions on the league table. Pirates will therefore need to deliver a disciplined performance and take their opportunities if they are to secure maximum points against their fierce rivals.

Following the derby, Abdeslam Ouaddou's team will begin a challenging run of away fixtures, starting against Siwelele on November 4 at 19:30.

The Buccaneers will then face Lamontville Golden Arrows on November 28, with kick-off scheduled for 18:00, before travelling to meet Stellenbosch FC on December 5 at 15:00. Their league schedule will continue with a match against Richards Bay FC on December 16, also at 15:00.

Playing away from home presents additional challenges, including travel demands, unfamiliar surroundings and opponents motivated by home support. Pirates will need to manage their squad carefully to maintain their performance levels throughout this period.

With important points at stake, the Buccaneers cannot afford unnecessary setbacks if they hope to strengthen their position in the standings.

The upcoming fixtures will provide a clear indication of Pirates' consistency and title credentials. Their ability to navigate the Soweto Derby and subsequent away matches successfully could prove crucial to their campaign.
