Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane continued his impressive start as head coach of Mochudi Centre Chiefs, guiding the Botswana Premier League side to a second consecutive victory on Saturday.
Mochudi Centre Chiefs, popularly known as Magosi, secured a valuable 2-1 away win against Enesia FC, earning their third victory of the season. After six matches, the team has collected three wins, suffered two defeats and recorded one draw.
Letsholonyane was appointed as the club's head coach in September following his departure from Zimbabwean outfit FC Platinum, where he served as an assistant to Thabo Senong.
The appointment also marked a return to Botswana for the former SuperSport United midfield star. In June, he enjoyed a successful spell with Matebele FC, helping the team maintain its top-flight status while earning a nomination for Coach of the Season.
Saturday's triumph lifted Mochudi Centre Chiefs to fourth place on the league table with 10 points, just four behind leaders Tonata FC. Letsholonyane has already improved the team's position after taking charge when they were seventh.
Despite beginning his tenure with a 2-0 defeat against Tafic, Yeye quickly responded by guiding his side to an impressive 2-1 victory over Botswana football giants Township Rollers before overcoming Enesia.
In Saturday's encounter, Nicolas Melgarejo opened the scoring for the visitors in the 42nd minute, before Ronaldo Fortune extended their advantage in the 68th minute.
Enesia threatened a late comeback when Thapelo Thebeyagae pulled one back in the 85th minute. However, Mochudi held on to secure all three points and continue their positive run under Letsholonyane.
