Ghanaian midfielder David Abagna found the back of the net as FC Ordabasy defeated FC Kaysar 4-1 to lift the 2026 Kazakhstan Cup at Turkestan Arena.
Ordabasy made a flying start to the final, with Sultanbek Astanov opening the scoring in the seventh minute to put his side in front.
Bjorn Johnsen doubled the advantage in the 41st minute, giving the Shymkent-based outfit a comfortable 2-0 lead heading into the break.
Abagna then extended Ordabasy’s advantage after the restart, scoring in the 60th minute to make it 3-0. The Ghanaian midfielder finished off an attacking move initiated by Johnsen, who provided the assist.
Elkhan Astanov added a fourth goal in the 71st minute, putting the result beyond doubt despite Kaysar’s late response.
The visitors grabbed a consolation goal through Agostinho in the 84th minute, but it was not enough to prevent Ordabasy from securing a convincing victory and the cup trophy.
The goal takes Abagna’s tally to one in four appearances in the Kazakhstan Cup this season.
