Max Dowman has become the world’s most valuable under-18 footballer after his estimated transfer value climbed to €63.5 million, underlining the remarkable progress he has made at Arsenal and strengthening his prospects of becoming a regular first-team option under Mikel Arteta.
According to a report by FootballTransfers on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, the 16-year-old’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) has increased by an impressive €53.4 million. The significant rise reflects his development since breaking into Arsenal’s senior side and the growing attention surrounding his performances.
Dowman initially attracted widespread recognition when he made his first-team debut at just 15 years old. Although he has featured only 18 times for the North London club, the attacking prospect has already contributed three goals and one assist across 676 minutes of senior football. His early involvement has demonstrated his ability to make an impact despite his limited experience at the highest level.
The youngster has also enjoyed notable moments during the current campaign. He scored twice in Arsenal’s EFL Cup victory over Ipswich Town, providing another indication of his attacking potential. However, his involvement in the competition also included a controversial red card against Fleetwood in the subsequent round.
His latest valuation places him significantly ahead of other teenage prospects attracting attention across European football. Believe Munongo, a 16-year-old midfielder at Metz, is the next most valuable player in that age group, with an estimated transfer value of €14.3 million.
Dowman also holds a considerable advantage over several highly rated 17-year-olds. Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kennet Eichhorn is valued at €27.8 million, while Swansea City youngster Jeremy Monga has an estimated value of €20.9 million. The figures underline the extraordinary gap between Dowman and other emerging talents in the market.
His progress has become particularly significant for Arsenal as the club manages concerns about Bukayo Saka’s availability and recent performances. The England international has experienced a decline in his estimated transfer value, which dropped by €15.6 million over the past month to €97.1 million.
Saka recorded 11 goals and nine assists in 49 appearances last season, numbers that fell short of the standards he has consistently established during his time at the Emirates Stadium. Although he began the current campaign positively, a thigh injury has disrupted his progress and is expected to keep him out of action until December.
The winger’s absence has created an opening for Dowman to gain additional opportunities in Arteta’s attacking setup. Arsenal have secured consecutive victories over Everton and Liverpool without Saka, demonstrating that the team can continue collecting important results despite missing one of its most influential players.
Saka remains a major figure in Arteta’s plans, but Dowman’s emergence gives the manager another attacking option and could intensify competition for places. While the teenager still requires time and experience to fulfil his potential, his performances and rapidly increasing valuation suggest Arsenal have an exceptional prospect.
