According to a report by Football365 on Monday, November 2, 2026, Barcelona have reportedly contacted the representatives of Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro as they explore the possibility of signing the Spanish international in 2027.
The LaLiga champions are understood to be increasingly interested in bringing the 27-year-old right-back to the Camp Nou, with manager Hansi Flick reportedly keen to strengthen his defensive options ahead of future campaigns.
Porro has become an important figure at Tottenham, although his absence through injury has affected his involvement in recent weeks. The defender spent approximately a month on the sidelines with a hamstring problem before returning to action as a substitute in each of the club's last two matches.
His return comes as Tottenham attempt to maintain their recovery from a difficult start to the season. They have won their last three Premier League matches and currently sit just three points behind fifth-placed Liverpool.
However, uncertainty remains over Porro's long-term future despite his signing a new five-year contract during the summer. The defender has previously expressed his desire to return to Spain, while both Barcelona and Real Madrid have reportedly maintained an interest in his services.
According to Spanish reports from ER Deportivos, Barcelona have already started exploring a potential deal and have made contact with the player's agent regarding a possible transfer.
Flick is reportedly particularly interested in Porro because of his understanding with Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal. The pair developed an effective partnership on Spain's right flank during the World Cup, and the Barcelona manager is believed to be interested in recreating that combination at club level.
Nevertheless, Tottenham are not expected to entertain a cheap departure. Reports indicate that the north London club could demand approximately £75 million for the former Sporting CP defender, a figure that would represent a world-record transfer fee for a right-back.
Barcelona's financial situation could complicate their pursuit, with the club continuing to face Financial Fair Play restrictions that may make such an expensive transfer difficult to complete.
Real Madrid have also been linked with Porro, but their interest appears less immediate. According to Cadena SER, the defender is not currently a priority for the Spanish giants, who already have Trent Alexander-Arnold and Denzel Dumfries available in their squad.
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has also reportedly used Federico Valverde in the right-back position this season, further reducing the urgency to recruit another player in that area.
With Barcelona exploring a possible deal and Tottenham determined to protect their investment, Porro's future is expected to remain a significant transfer talking point ahead of the 2027 window.
