Arsenal Are Preparing to Step Up Their Efforts to Sign €100m Striker In January

A report from Football London dated Monday, November 2, 2026, indicates that Arsenal are said to be getting ready to intensify their push to sign Bournemouth forward Junior Kroupi, following the emergence of Paris Saint-Germain as another serious challenger for the highly rated young player.

The 20-year-old is steadily working his way back to full fitness after a foot injury kept him out of the start of the season. Still, his strong displays last season have ensured that a number of top European clubs remain interested.

Bournemouth brought Kroupi in from the French side Lorient for around £12 million last year, and the young forward swiftly proved the investment worthwhile. During the 2025/26 season he netted 13 Premier League goals, cementing his status as one of Europe's most promising attacking talents.

The Cherries managed to hold off interest in Kroupi and Alex Scott throughout the summer transfer window. Even so, they may come under fresh pressure to sell one of the two players in January or next summer.

Bournemouth are said to be intent on keeping Kroupi until the end of the current season, which makes a January exit unlikely despite Arsenal's interest. A move next summer is seen as a more plausible scenario.

Arsenal regard the French forward as a possible upgrade to their attacking options, especially given the uncertainty around Viktor Gyokeres, who has reportedly weighed leaving the Premier League during the January window.

Journalist Pete O'Rourke told Football Insider that Arsenal are weighing up whether to speed up their pursuit, as PSG have also made Kroupi a major transfer target.

O'Rourke explained: "Arsenal are big admirers of him, and there's also big interest from PSG as well in Junior Kroupi."

He went on to say that a number of major European clubs could vie for the forward, though a January transfer looks unlikely given Bournemouth's unwillingness to lose an important player midway through the season.

Kroupi has in the past spoken of his ambition to play for some of football's biggest clubs, saying: "I'm going to give my all to play for the biggest clubs in the world, in the best leagues in the world."

He also disclosed that featuring in the Premier League had been his childhood dream, one that later grew into a personal goal.

Amid the speculation over his future, Kroupi maintains that he is committed to Bournemouth, vowing to give everything for the supporters and to help the team succeed.
