Mamelodi Sundowns continued their impressive run in the DStv Diski Challenge after securing a convincing 3-0 victory over Chippa United on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The result extended the Brazilians’ winning streak to three matches and provided an opportunity for some of their new players to feature in the reserve team.
Sundowns welcomed Kutlwano Letlhaku and Bennet Mokoena back into the squad, while new signing Lazola Maku started in midfield. The match gave supporters an opportunity to see the new arrival in action as the young Brazilians continued their campaign in the reserve league.
The home side took the lead midway through the first half when Kamohelo Mareletse found the back of the net. His goal gave Sundowns an advantage and helped them approach the remainder of the match with greater confidence.
Chippa United struggled to find a response as Sundowns continued to push forward in search of another goal. Their patience eventually paid off in the 67th minute when Sechaba Gaseitsiwe doubled the lead.
Mareletse then completed his brace seven minutes later, scoring Sundowns’ third goal and sealing a comfortable victory. The result strengthened the team’s momentum as they continued their pursuit of a strong finish in the DStv Diski Challenge.
Elsewhere, Sekhukhune United recorded an equally impressive 3-0 victory over Richards Bay FC. The result allowed Babina Noko to reclaim second place on the league table, moving them to within two points of leaders Kaizer Chiefs.
Chiefs and Sekhukhune United remain the only teams with unbeaten records this season, highlighting their consistency in the competition.
Stellenbosch FC and Marumo Gallants produced one of the weekend’s most entertaining encounters, with Stellenbosch emerging victorious in a remarkable 5-4 contest. The nine-goal thriller provided plenty of excitement and helped Stellenbosch return to winning ways.
The victory lifted Stellenbosch to ninth place, while Marumo Gallants remained in 13th position as they continued to search for better results.
Polokwane City also enjoyed a positive outing after defeating Milford FC 1-0. The result marked back-to-back victories for Rise and Shine, who climbed to 10th place on the table. Milford, meanwhile, dropped to 11th after failing to secure points.
With Sundowns recording their third consecutive victory and giving new signing Lazola Maku an opportunity to feature, the Brazilians will be encouraged by their progress. However, maintaining their winning momentum will be important as the Diski Challenge season continues.
