Shock Transfer Rumors: Monnapule Saleng to Kaizer ChiefsSouth African football fans are going crazy over reports that talented attacker Monnapule Saleng, a winger for Orlando Pirates, has signed a pre-contract with Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs. The move would be absolutely sensational. Still, nothing has been confirmed regarding the purported agreement.

As part of their plan to rebuild and compete for major titles again, Kaizer Chiefs are supposedly still trying to add players to their roster. Amakhosi have been on the hunt for quality additions to bolster their offensive options and raise their consistency level of competition in the Betway Premiership. In the midst of speculation about his future with Orlando Pirates, Saleng's name has surfaced.

The winger was a key member of the Buccaneers' offense in the past, thanks to his lightning speed, superb dribbling, and goal-scoring prowess.Nevertheless, following a lengthy absence from competitive action, his situation at the club has garnered significant attention. Rumor has it that Saleng last played for Pirates in December 2024, so even though he was supposedly fit, he didn't play a single game in the 2025 season.

After hearing rumors of discontent with his contract and relationship with the club's management, his absence caused fans to wonder why he wasn't playing.Despite not playing much football for his club, Saleng still managed to get some playing time for Bafana Bafana in March 2025 in a CHAN qualifier. This would be a huge step in the animosity between the two Soweto clubs, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, if the rumors of a transfer there are true.

The intense rivalry between the two teams would make a transfer from the Pirates to the Chiefs a highly publicized event.Until the club or the player's representatives confirm the pre-contract claims, supporters should proceed with caution.Football fans are keeping their fingers crossed that winger Goran Saleng will stay put with Orlando Pirates or start a new chapter with Kaizer Chiefs.
