According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Arsenal secured a 2-0 victory over Everton in the Premier League, with goals from Ezri Konsa and Gabriel helping Mikel Arteta’s side claim all three points.
Arsenal dominated much of the encounter, creating several scoring opportunities and keeping Everton’s defence under constant pressure. Although the visitors managed to threaten David Raya’s goal on a few occasions, they struggled to convert their chances.
The Gunners took the lead in the seventh minute through Konsa. Martin Odegaard delivered a corner into the penalty area, allowing the defender to find space and guide the ball past Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Everton attempted to respond by increasing their attacking pressure. James Garner tested Raya with a shot from the edge of the box in the 11th minute, but the Arsenal goalkeeper made a save. Tyrique George also tried to create opportunities, although the home side’s defence remained organised and dealt with the visitors’ threats.
Arsenal continued to attack, with Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze and Odegaard contributing to their forward moves. Madueke came close to extending the lead in the 28th minute after a well-coordinated attack, but his effort narrowly missed the target. Mikel Merino also wasted an opportunity when his header went over the crossbar.
Pickford was forced to make several interventions as Arsenal searched for a second goal. The Everton goalkeeper dealt with a number of crosses and attempts, while Raya kept Arsenal ahead with an important save to deny Thierno Barry shortly before half-time.
Arsenal returned for the second half determined to strengthen their advantage. Odegaard tested Pickford again in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper made a comfortable save. The Gunners maintained their attacking pressure, with Eze and Merino helping to keep Everton on the back foot.
Their efforts were rewarded in the 68th minute when Gabriel scored Arsenal’s second goal. Ben White delivered an excellent ball into the penalty area, and the Brazilian defender headed it into an unguarded net to give the hosts firm control of the match.
As the game approached its conclusion, Arteta made several substitutions, introducing Kai Havertz, Riccardo Calafiori, Guimaraes, Martin Zubimendi and Dowman as Arsenal looked to protect their lead.
Everton continued searching for a way back into the contest. Armstrong sent a header over the crossbar in the 76th minute, while Dewsbury-Hall also failed to find the target. The visitors created another chance in the 89th minute, but Raya produced an excellent save to keep out Hackney’s effort.
Despite eight minutes of added time, Everton could not break through Arsenal’s defence. The Gunners maintained their two-goal advantage until the final whistle, completing a 2-0 win and taking all three points in the Premier League.
