According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Everton Women and Manchester United Women settled for a 0-0 draw after neither team managed to score in their league meeting.
Manchester United enjoyed several opportunities to take the lead but struggled to convert their chances, with Everton goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan producing an excellent display to prevent the visitors from finding the net.
The Red Devils began the encounter on the front foot and immediately looked to put Everton under pressure. Andrea Medina registered the first significant attempt in the eighth minute, forcing Brosnan into a good save with a strike from outside the box. Medina later had another effort blocked, while Ella Toone was also denied by Everton's defenders after attempting to score from inside the penalty area.
Everton gradually improved and started asking questions of Manchester United's defence. Yuka Momiki narrowly missed the target with a long-range effort in the ninth minute, while Ornella Vignola tested Phallon Tullis-Joyce in the 40th minute. However, the Manchester United goalkeeper responded well to prevent Everton from taking the lead.
The hosts continued to threaten before the interval, with Hannah Blundell producing a long-range effort that required another impressive intervention from Tullis-Joyce. Nevertheless, neither side could find a breakthrough before the referee blew for half-time.
Following the restart, Manchester United continued pushing for the opening goal but encountered difficulties against Everton's determined defence. Elisabeth Terland forced Brosnan into action in the 55th minute, although her effort was comfortably saved. Vignola also created another opportunity for Everton, but Tullis-Joyce was equal to the challenge.
Manchester United attempted to change the game's direction by bringing on Simi Awujo, Jayde Riviere and Lea Schüller. Their attacking efforts increased towards the end, with Terland coming particularly close to scoring. However, Brosnan produced two outstanding saves, including a crucial intervention to keep out her header in the 78th minute.
Everton successfully resisted United's late pressure and held on to claim a hard-earned point. Manchester United, meanwhile, were left frustrated by their inability to convert their numerous opportunities, with the contest finishing 0-0.
