According to a report by Daily Post Nigeria on Saturday, October 17, 2026, Galatasaray are reportedly considering moves for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga and Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk as they look to strengthen their squad in January.
Turkish football analyst Zeki Uzundurukan shared the club’s reported plans on the Transfer TV YouTube channel.
He said Galatasaray remain interested in Camavinga and may contact Real Madrid again when the transfer window opens.
“Galatasaray hasn’t given up on Camavinga. They will make another inquiry in January. They want to complete this transfer,” Uzundurukan said.
He also claimed that club president Dursun Özbek is a strong admirer of Van Dijk. Galatasaray’s reported interest in the Liverpool defender has grown amid concerns about the team’s defensive performances.
“The process will resume in January. Galatasaray is prepared to pay around 15 million euros per year,” Uzundurukan said, referring to the potential terms for Van Dijk.
Any deal for either player would likely be challenging. Camavinga is an important part of Real Madrid’s squad, while Van Dijk remains a key figure at Liverpool.
The reported interest, however, suggests Galatasaray may be ready to pursue major signings as they seek to address weaknesses in their team.
