According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Fulham claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Coventry, with Oscar Bobb scoring a late goal to secure all three points in a closely contested encounter.
The visitors struggled to break down Coventry's defence for most of the match before Bobb produced a moment of individual brilliance in the 80th minute to settle the contest.
Coventry started brightly and looked to threaten Fulham through Brandon Thomas Asante and Sidiki Cherif. Thomas-Asante tested the visitors early in the game, but his effort from the edge of the penalty area was blocked by a defender.
Fulham gradually found their rhythm and began creating opportunities of their own. Joshua King came close to opening the scoring in the 18th minute when his close range effort struck the crossbar. Alex Iwobi collected the rebound inside the penalty area but failed to keep his attempt below the crossbar.
The visitors continued to push forward, with Shea Charles forcing Carl Rushworth into an impressive save in the 14th minute. Gonzalo Garcia also threatened in the 23rd minute, but a Coventry defender produced an important sliding challenge to deny him.
Coventry responded through Thomas Asante, who produced a dangerous effort in the 29th minute. However, Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno reacted quickly to make an excellent save and keep the score level.
Neither side managed to find the breakthrough before half-time, leaving the match evenly balanced heading into the second half.
After the restart, Coventry attempted to increase the pressure through set pieces and attacking moves. Jack Rudoni saw his free kick blocked by the defensive wall, while Stephen Mfuni later forced Leno into another impressive save with a header from a corner.
Fulham eventually broke the deadlock in the 80th minute when Bobb collected the ball and produced an excellent individual move before firing a superb shot into the bottom left corner. Rushworth was unable to prevent the effort from finding the net.
Coventry pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but Fulham remained organised at the back and successfully dealt with the late pressure.
Despite five minutes of added time, the hosts failed to find a way through Fulham's defence.
The visitors held on to secure a valuable 1-0 victory, with Bobb's late strike proving decisive in a hard-fought encounter.
